Now add the coriander and limes juice and blend for 15s or until a nice smooth
consistency is present
I LOVE Mexican food (I’m actually going to be doing a vegan Mexican cooking class this week!) so thanks for this recipe. It looks delectable!
Oh wow I would love to do that
. When I was working in Mexico I really enjoyed trying different food and recipes. I ate cactus also which was delicious. It’s correct name is nopales
Looks yummy. Do you know how long this would keep in the fridge?
I always use them up between 2 – 3 days naturally it will be in the fridge.
I use this as a rule generally for salsa. I made a mango pickle which lasts for
2 -3 months as it is persevered in oil.
I love your tasty salsa a lot! It loooks very appetizing & bright! Bring it one!
I had a few people around who couldn’t stop eating it lol
Looks awesome! I need a blender
Makes the job quicker
So I can make this without a blender? Just gotta do more chopping right?
That’s right. I have used a pestle and mortar for the tomatoes. Diced the garlic and onion. Then sliced the coriander and added it to the mix adding the lime juice last.
When I was in Mexico the restaurants I saw did it this way…. enjoy
Oh yum! The only thing nicer than a corn chip is a corn chip slathered with home made salsa. I am keen to try your recipe.
its easy and once you start eating it, it is very hard to stop
Oh I bet! I am bad enough with plain corn chips! I have all of these ingredients except the coriander. Damn.
I’ll have to get me some coriander pronto!
Just a warning its pretty additive
I love homemade salsa too Thom! Such gorgeous colors!
Thanks me too… it was as delicious as it looks
Being so close to Mexico as I grew up in Southern California, I have had my fair amount of salsa and continue to make it all the time. Seeing your pictures is really tempting me to make some! Looks yummy
I bet you have some good salsa recipes to share too
I wish! We were just so used to having it around all the time. I seem to just chop and toss all sorts together
easy and very moorish
I made the salsa yesterday! It’s awesome!
I mashed some avocado in it and used a dash of cayenne pepper instead of a chilli to make it more kid friendly. We had it with our dinner- chilli beans and brown rice. We had a few corn chips too, of course!
My 3 yr old had the salsa on toast with avocado this morning. I had some on my tofu and salad wrap at lunch time. It’s so versatile!
Thanks for sharing the recipe.
Thank for sharing that comment with me and I am happy your family enjoyed it too.. Avocado is great as a base and the salsa makes it really taste good. I had a few people try it for me too and they loved it.. Enjoy your Sunday
